Originally, jeans, were used for their resistance, by manual workers, especially in heavy works as miners, or farmers in the early twentieth century. In the United States, in the 50s, young people and teenagers began to wear jeans to protest against conformity. The fact was considered a provocation, for example in some cinemas the people who wore jeans weren't allowed to enter. In the 60s, the jeans won acceptance and in the 70s became an article to dress informally.

Fashions have been imposing various cuts of pants with higher or lower waist , with tight legs(in Spain called for "pitillos", Argentina became known as Chupin, Venezuela tube were called in Mexico is named as "entubado" ), straight or flared (or elephant foot), the broken jeans...
